SAT Exam Registration – Step-by-Step Process
You cannot register offline; it must be done through the official portal.
- Create an Account: Go to the College Board Official Website and sign up.
- Fill Personal Details: Enter your name exactly as it appears on your Passport.
- Book Your Slot: Select your preferred Exam Date and Test Centre.
- Upload Photo: Upload a clear, professional-style photo of your face.
- Pay the Fee: Complete the payment to confirm your seat.
Download Admission Ticket: You will receive this via email; print it for exam day.

For Indian students, the fee is higher than for US students because of the “Regional Fee.”

Mode of Payments for SAT Exam Fees 2025-2026 in India
Since the College Board charges in US Dollars, standard Indian payment methods often fail.
Accepted: International Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, JCB), PayPal.
Not Accepted: RuPay Cards, Standard UPI, Debit Cards without international transactions enabled.
Solution: Ensure “International Transactions” are turned ON in your banking app before paying.

How to Choose the Right SAT Test Centre
- Distance: Pick a centre within 30-45 minutes of your home.
- Infrastructure: International schools usually have better power backup and Wi-Fi (essential for the digital test).
- Reviews: Check online forums to ensure the centre has comfortable seating and a quiet environment.
SAT Exam Centre Facilities & Rules
- Bring Your Device: You must bring your own laptop/tablet with the Bluebook App installed.
- ID Proof: A Valid Passport is mandatory. Aadhar cards are sometimes accepted if they are the original PVC card, but a Passport is the safest bet.
Arrival: Reach by 7:30 AM. Gates close at 8:00 AM.

The digital SAT is adaptive. This means if you perform well in the first module, the second module becomes slightly harder (and gives you a chance to score higher)
